Birds & open spaces.

It's been a couple of busy days and I've been unable to find the time to keep my blog updated with my whereabouts, thoughts, clothes and general musings.
Friday, my boyfriend and I went for a drive to Sandwich where we took a leisurely stroll around the small town eating chips doused in vinegar and a sprinkling of salt. We took a lifetime in the little sweet shop deciding which boiled sweets we'd like and found ourself reasonably lost in the maze of streets.
I wore what is basically my uniform for life, a striped boatneck top. Feeling a tad Seventies in some high-waisted flares which are a little bit too big for me and a lick of red lipstick on my lips.
A labyrinth of cobbled streets and beautiful bricked archways, little doorways too small for my boyfriend and a kind, friendly atmosphere.
Feeling patriotic and also to build layers to fight off the cold, I wore a union jack printed scarf and my navy blazer.
Leaving, we got lost on our journey home, driving down country roads surrounded by oceans of yellow rapeseed and tunnels of trees where the sunlight squeezes through the gaps in the branches, streaming onto the road.
We finally made it home and later that evening we went and collected my best friend for an unplanned spontaneous evening. We found ourselves at a RSPB reserve looking out at the mouth of the River Thames watching large cargo ships journey out into the world as the sun set and the evening moved in.
Leaving to go in search of food, we then spent the rest of the night in a small pub chatting to our hearts content.

    1. It is really a place! There is a place nearby called Ham, and they gave up with a signpost because it said 'Ham Sandwich' and everybody kept stealing it. Haha

Thank you for your nice comment :)
