On the Road: Dean's Story

My blog is based particularly around fashion and my personal style, I often, occasionally like to discuss other matters of interest to me. As someone of you may already know, I am an enthusiastic writer with a love for reading classics and watching as many films as my mind will absorb. I've had my writing published on Hello Giggles and I recently became a contributor for the online arts and culture newspaper, The Flaneur.

A true inspiration of mine is Jack Kerouac whose notable book On the Road has been made into a film by Coppola and is directed by Walter Salles. Two weeks ago the first trailer was released and it wasn't what I anticipated. Today, my review of the trailer has been published on The Flaneur here, so please head over if you have a few minutes to see what you think and if you agree.

    1. Hi Camilla,

I love Hello Giggles too and it was lovely to know that they wanted to feature my writing! I just got in contact with the newspaper, a lot of sites offer the chance to become contributors and magazines that accept submissions, you just need to search around. They just take a look at your work (I have a portfolio) and decide from there!

  3. I was actually quite excited for the release of this film when i first caught wind of it's production. I read your opinion of the film and although i have no professional view on this, you have a really lovely writing style :)

    1. Oh don't get me wrong I am excited too, I just don't want it to lose the true ideas behind the book just to make it more appealing for cinema goers, if you get what I mean. Thank you for your lovely comment :) It's really enjoyable to get feedback on my writing
