Kent Life.

In celebration of my favourite boy's 4th birthday today, my cousin had a party for him and all of his excitable mini friends at a local farm. Disappointingly, the weather was very off and on, (Mother Nature can be so indecisive) so we spent a lot of our time inside.
Whilst the small children got lost in the ball pool (so cute in their salad days), we explored old farmyard buildings which had been moved to the site from other towns near by. They were so full of vintage curiosities, I found myself daydreaming of settling down there for the night and for perhaps, the rest of my life?
The staff may have moved me into the kids play area had they seen me mischievously sneaking into the roped out zones and slipping through locked gates, all for a sneaky pose whilst my mum stood guard/captured a photo. I won't lie to you, I'm not really talking on this rotary dial phone and I'm not holding a real pie in the photo below.
I had garden envy and found myself lusting after the vegetable plot, cobbled paths and strangely, the outdoor toilet and the bomb shelter.
Don't be fooled and remember I have already told you, this pie isn't real. Neither is the man in the background, but I'm certain you already worked that one out. It is infact, all an illusion apart from the bad cold I have been suffering with all week, that is.
I am showcasing such a red nose in these photographs, I promise I didn't purposely coordinate my lipstick with it.
Wearing my red flat ballet pumps wasn't a very good idea as my cousin pointed out. It was tragically wet, muddy and cold. However, I was smart enough to wear my cardigan (which always makes me feel like Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller in The Edge of Love) over the top of my new cat print dress c/o Bear & Co
You can be in with a chance of winning your own custom fitted cat print dress here from Etsy shop Bear & Co.

Despite the dreary weather, it was a brilliant day spent with family celebrating and after party bags were dished out into little tender hands and farewells were had, my family returned to my cousins. Here, the birthday boy and I played Super Mario Bros and then battled the Hulk against a Transformer with his action figures.

Befitting the weather and the colossal puddles which quickly formed. My word of the day, for today is:
Abluvion (n.) that which has been washed away.

I live in Kent and the weather can be all over the place though it is meant to be the Garden of England!
    Love the dress too.
