Ciao Bello!

Inspiration, inspiration it's such a wonderful thing and motivates me endlessly. I am just spending my evening exploring the latest photographs I have collected from around the place as well as reading some poetry.
I think poetry can often be harder to be enthusiastic about than books which is unusual because they tend to be much shorter. However, it's always lovely when you find a poet where you can get lost in their metaphors. e.e. cummings is one of my favourite poets (joint with Dylan Thomas) because his writing is very creative and unconventional, he is a rebel of the grammatical variety. The themes of his poems have a romantic harmony about them and can often be quite comical, I definitely recommend them if you think of poetry as a world where poets just speak 'weather'.
I selected these images to showcase on here but soon came to realise they are all quite good at combining masculinity to already quite feminine looks.
I'd like to just say a great big thank you to Leanne Marie & Laurenella who both featured my blog on theirs this week, it is so lovely to know people are enjoying reading my musings, I really really appreciate the time people take when looking at my blog, reading and scrolling through, leaving comments .etc. You are all so wonderful. Thank you.
Now please excuse me while I go and try some lemon cupcakes my mum has just baked.

Orange.

An organic sculpture, peaks and cavities,
craggy shadows moving across the dusty terrain as daylight melts away.
Contorting the kaleidoscope landscape, orange is a canyon.

A dripping nectar refreshing your senses,
fingers sticky with lust as the delectable juice dribbles down your chin.
Infusing the air with zest, orange is citrus.

A rising heat distorting the vista,
skin prickling with intensity as the cooling droplets of moisture trickle down.
Throbbing down on the world, orange is the sun.

Out on the road today I saw a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac.

Excited.
I've never been to a music festival before where it's been over a few days with camping so this will be a new experience for me. I am not very high maintenance so I think I will be quite suited for this malarky!

I have seen The Eagles before and they are definitely rated in my top three of live acts so I am very much looking forward to seeing them again. My boyfriend is a huge Smiths fan, as well as Velvet Underground so I know he is much more excited about the Saturday.
As long as we have food and a camera I know I'll be more than happy, soaking in the atmosphere, ears leaking with the sound of drums beating and guitars gently weeping.

The biggest question I have to ask myself though, what will I take to wear?

Fringing, denim, studs?
Wellies if there's mud?
Short Sleeves, straps or none?
Chic, boho or just plain fun?
Something new or just some tat?
One thing's for sure, I'd quite like a hat!
