It's a lovely sun shining day today and the bitter cold isn't making me chatter like a pair of wind up teeth. As I mentioned in my previous post I wanted to get into posting personal outfits on a more regular basis and so I went out and did just what I needed to for such a post. I fall under the category of 'those people' who whip out the shorts at any chance of sunlight and so today with a slightly warmer atmosphere, I went out in shorts.
They remind me of the kind you see women wearing casually in old black and white holiday snaps because of the high waist and shape. Here I am wearing them with a pretty shirt which is covered in colourful little bugs and my patent capped toe mary-janes.
Despite wearing shorts I wasn't too foolish to leave the house without something on top. Not only for a little extra warmth but also for a little extra coverage so people walking past didn't think I was too much of a lunatic.
The coat is a few years old now, I picked it up in a Zara sale and fell in love with it instantly because it reminded me so much of something an elderly man would wear. I also envisioned Chuck Bass to don it himself. I am neither Chuck Bass or of a retired age but feel I need to dress like I am, on occasion.
