Etsy Finds

I adore Etsy.
I can't say I really live in the perfect place to find vintage one off pieces at a local market or at a charity shop so Etsy is the next best thing. Maybe even better as I get to find vintage one off pieces all over the world and get them ordered to my front door.
I am always following trends from the catwalk but I'm also drawn to working individual pieces into my wardrobe to make it more unique and so I feel like less of a clone when walking down the street.
At first I really found it hard to find anything on this website and for ages didn't see what the attraction was for many people but after creating an account and understanding the benefits of favourited items and shops, I was hooked.
Below is a small collection of some recent items I have favourited.

My mum and I have started making bracelets recently and this week we have been toying with the idea of opening up our own Etsy shop so keep a look out.
P.S. I finally got round to dying my hair ombre, following LLYMLRS' instructions and I love how it has turned out, it fades in so naturally and I didn't have the anxiety that comes with a hairdresser doing it. Cheap and leaves me feeling oh so cheerful!

Ombre.

tumblr_lmfduv74M21qimrm6o1_500

After watching LLYMLRS video on getting ombre hair, I am going to give it a go tonight. I have wanted it for ages and the last time I had my hair done I asked for it but I don't think my hairdresser understood so it didn't come out anything like this. I have been tempted to have some blonde back in my hair for ages to brighten it up but I have a slight phobia of the hairdressers so if doing it myself works out then I will be all smiles.

Dream boats.

A smorgasbord of images that have inspired me this dismal day in June, collated via my tumblr.

[1] My all time favourite model, Daria Werbowy, pictured here [top left] travelling across the ocean. The gentle, rippling azure waves are balanced perfectly with the fluorescent lifebuoy,
the pure colourless sails and Daria's oh so nautical attire, looking so tranquil and serene.

[2] Still longing for blonde back in my hair.

[3] Peaceful images of the sea make me wish I owned a boat so I could set sail, away from this hectic life on land.

[4] The quintessential rebel and supreme immortal, in my eyes.
I came across this photo the other day, one of which I hadn't seen before, shocking considering my obsession, but instantly fell in love.

[5] This image, although a simple image of a beautiful car, makes me dream of Europe and in turn of my holiday. I see you creeping up on me and you see me trying to hold back my toothy grin.

[6]&[7] More colour, I'm not bored with it yet.
These bracelets are DIY's from Honestly WTF and something I definitely plan to try this week, ready to pile on for the Hop Farm festival.

And to end, a fine quote taken from F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby
'So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.'
